Happy Halloween!

As the title says ;) We don't really celebrate Halloween in Sweden but of course it's always great with an excuse to listen to Halloween-themed music and watch horror movies.

In honour of today I made an interesting spotify list with Halloween themed music only! Yay! How about the Addams Family Theme? Alice Cooper's Feed my Frankenstein? The Ghostbusters theme? Mötley Crüe's Shout at the Devil? Well, they're all there! I tried to put all Halloween songs I could think of in there so I guess it should satisfy anyone's spooky needs. Halloween!

Spot on.

‎"I reckon hating someone is just a total fucking waste of time and effort. What do you get out of it in the end? Nothing. I'm not trying to come over like the Archangel Gabriel here. I just think that if you're pissed off with someone, call them an arsehole, get it out of your system, and move on. It's not like we're on this earth very long."
- Ozzy Osbourne

As I read "I am Ozzy" last night, this paragraph caught my attention. And I couldn't do more than agree with him. I personally know some people that linger waaay too much in the past and holds grudges for years of time. I mean, really? Just get on with your life and quit the hating. It's not like you feel better or get anything out of it.

Jaakko and Elin is coming to visit us next week, fun times! (and also = I have to study my brains out in order not to study that much while they're here. yaaay xD)

Ozzy to Wacken!

I just got home from a long and refreshing jogging tour and just as I was about to leave the computer for a shower, I noticed this:

"The fan base of W:O:A waited for a long time, finally their prayers have been answered:

The “GODFATHER OF METAL” is going to rock the “Night to Remember” as headliner on Thursday at the 22nd Wacken Open Air.

So prepare yourselves for a unique live show of the “PRINCE OF DARKNESS” with his only german festival show in 2011!

Ozzy is back!

your
W:O:A team"

This is pretty cool, I've always wanted to see Ozzy live, especially now when I've been reading his biography which is quite entertaining. So here we go, another great artist to add to the lineup. Aah, I can't wait to see what other bands will be announced!

Other than that, I can now report that I'm amost done with my essay exam. I thought I'd finish it up this afternoon after I've had my lovely shower. Feels great!

Friday!

Friday! And I'm done with all studies for today which feels absolutely great. Soon we'll make some delicious dinner, watch TV and just enjoy the fact that it's finally friday. :)
Tomorrow we're probably off to IKEA - I have got get some stuff there and there's this huge supermarket next to it which means we'll try to fill up our food resources a bit as well.

I'm currently writing my only CD review for this month (I'm glad I didn't pick more than one, I'd never have the time considering how much I've had to study this month!). Which one it is? Aah. Do you remember the band Stahlmann I wrote about a while ago? Well, it's their debut album, haha.
Oh, and press the little album art to the left here to read our tips for music at WeRock during the autumn. (only in swedish though)

Photos, photos, photos!

Two days ago I decided to take advantage of Fujidirekt's offer of getting 100 free photos. So today I got a ton of photos in my mailbox, all for a total of 29 SEK (2,9 euros), which was the cost of the shipping.
Yum! Couldn't resist getting tons of photo copies for free xD

Loads of photos...
The quality is great as well, I'm really satisfied. Now I should try to get myself a photo album and a few frames to put them in. :)

Busy busy

Aah, taking a break from the studies. So far my essay has become 3 pages (out of 5-6) long so I feel quite satisfied at the moment. I think I'll call it a day now. One page/day is my goal, haha (even though I wrote two pages yesterday, eheh.). And then I'll spend one day on the fine grounding. If I can keep this up I'll be done with it on... monday or something. Yep, good bye weekend!
I still have some welsh left to study though. I'm trying to get a chapter done each day (works pretty good, I'm almost done with today's chapter which is one out of three).
By the way, here's what I've spent my day listening to while studying:

Click the image to listen to the album through Spotify. :)

Oh and here's a picture I snapped yesterday since I found it extremely amusing. It's taken from Otto's chinese course book. XD

First exam

Okay, I'm sorry if the upcoming week won't be filled with interesting posts. I'm busy with an exam for my celtic history and culture class and at the same time I have to keep up with my welsh class. This = busy busy busy week! I'm writing my essay on this topic:
"Discuss the nature and main features of early Celtic society."
Nngh, gives me a headache but it feels great to finally be able to do something with the knowledge I've acquired during the past months.
Alright, now I'm off to try to write some more. The start is always the hardest, right?

Moomin

Horrible weather today, and of course I had a lesson today so I had to get out into the miserable weather with my poor broken umbrella. The welsh lesson was interesting though and I managed to find a new umbrella in town and get rid of the old one. I also stumpled upon this at Åhlens:

I don't think I have to tell you that I bought it? ;)

Refreshed

New layout!
Bye-bye old and summery layout, hello autumn-y layout :D

I may love metal but...

...I'm not stuck on one single musical genre ;) This track is so catchy and reminds me of the Cyberdog store. Imagine this song being pumped out of the speakers.

Pendulum - The Island Pt II (Dusk)

Cyberdog

I got the urge to check out Cyberdog's web site this evening. It's been a while now and I thought maybe they'd got something new. And well.. they sure had! Damnit, perhaps I will place an order next month x)

First off - you cannot deny the awesomeness of these!
I really have to get myself some, they're pretty cheap too!
ICE SCREAM
£7

Argh, do want! But I guess there's no ladies size. Bah. Otherwise this is a great alternative to all those damn Tube t-shirts sold in the souvenir shops...
STD S/S PARTY MAP
£25

These are definitely going to be mine >:D
CYBER LEGGING INRAVER
£20

And then we have the not-so-new stuff that I'd love to own...

PODIUM LEGGING
£45

The awesomeness of these dresses are beyond me. Definitely need to get myself one.
ORBIT MOON DRESS

I saw this shirt in yellow (and pink, I think?) at the Camden store and wondered why the hell they didn't have one in black since I'd love to own one. Seems there actually is a black version (=I'm getting one)
INRAVERS VEST
£28

Cyberdog ring. Gimme?
CYBERDOG CABLE LOGO RING

Another shirt I found in Camden but only in Men's size. But they do have it in female size at their web shop. Hurr, hurr, hurr...
GIRLS STD S/S GUARDIAN ANGEL

Oh and if you're wondering about yesterday's photo shoot with Renee, I can tell you it went splendid! You can actually find a few of them up on my deviantart already, but there a more to come and they'll also end up in the blog so don't worry. :)

Photos

I've been productive when it comes to photos these days!
Apart from the ones I uploaded a few days ago, I also uploaded these on deviantart:

One of my photos from Highgate Cemetery in London.
A beautiful place!

An old picture of my Vivienne Westwood necklace. :)

And last but not least - a photo of a flower.
I took this photo either on Madeira or Tenerife - can't remember where it was xD
Anyhow, to see the pictures in fuller versions, please check my deviantart account here: http://katsu01.deviantart.com/.

Other than that, I wish you all a pleasant Friday. I just finished reading a fourth of a book about the history of Wales - and to celebrate that I ate some kladdkaka and took a short nap. Now it's time to do some food shopping and then I'll go for a quick run and study some welsh afterwards. Then it's finally weekend. :)
Renee comes tomorrow = photo time, yeah!

The final result

Tomorrow is the last day to apply for the swedish universities next term. I changed my mind a bit actually and these are the courses I will take instead, haha.. xD

1. Early languages
2. Medieval celtic kings and heroes
3. Welsh II (I realized I want to read it a bit more :))
4. Orientation course in indoeuropean languages

I'm finally satisfied!
Dw i'n mynd i dysgu Cymraeg heddiw. (I'm going to study welsh today) ;D

Dreams

There's something special going on in my head at the moment... As I've browsed through my news feed at facebook the last couple of months there's been one particular thing that jumped my mind: everyone is going abroad! Okay... perhaps not everyone. But I do have some friends that have gone to France and America as au-pair's, some people went abroad to study (for example Japan and England) and one's gone off to Tenerife to work. How awesome is that?!
This whole thing put me into thinking a lot about what I'd like to do myself the upcoming years. Well, of course, I do have my studies and everything but I'd like to go somewhere and get some experience. One month in London wasn't enough to satisfy my needs.

At the moment, there are two particular things I've been thinking of.
1. Working in London for a year or so. I really feel the need to go back there, I miss it so much my heart aches a little every time I think of it. The thing is, I don't think I'd like to go by my own... I guess I'll have to ask my friends if anyone is interested in joining me. ;)
2. To go on an awesome trip through Britain. Starting in Wales -> London -> Scotland -> Northern Ireland -> Ireland. This is one of my current dreams, I have to do it! (preferably during summer though, haha.)

I want to travel! Ngh, Sweden is so boring. Blah.

Model

As I broswed through deviantart today I found that my friend Jacob had posted an edited version of a picture he took of me last summer. Here it is:

Click the image to see it in a bigger version.
I like this edited version a lot. Reminds me of a past century.

Two pictures from yesterday

(The quality is a bit fucked up though. Check the images in bigger sizes and better quality here and here)

Chillin' in town

Good afternoon!
Today I've been hanging around in town with my friend Emil who's been up here in Uppsala for a few days. First of all we went to university to show him the place (since he's planning on moving up here next term^^) and then we (or.. more like me xD) went on a photo-spree! The weather was lovely and the autumn-colored trees are stunning! I'll post some pictures later when I've had time to look through them all ;)

Yarr, harr, derp?

We also found this awesome CD store! I went in with no plans on buying anything, and went out with these:

323 SEK all in all (About 32 euros). That's extremely cheap for two concert DVD's and 2 CD's.

My new home

Ta-daah! I finally bring some pictures of the apartment since I've just adjusted myself and everything. Feels great!
This is the house we live in. Please excuse the garbage in the lower right corner, haha... xD
The kitchen. :)
The other part of the kitchen.
Our rooms...
Otto playing some video games in his room, eheheh.
>83
My room! With my bed which also works as a sofa during the day.
More of my room.
And my computer area. :D
The end!

Peek-a-boo!

Uuh, back to the blog again. Sorry about the lack of updates this week but as I said - I've had a lot to do since I'm moving and everything. I'm going to take a few photos of the apartment tomorrow and post here, so yeah. :)

About the Raubtier concert... It was great! They played almost all my favourite songs, had a great stage prescence and even greeted the fans after the concert. I'm actually planning to see them again since I realized they're coming to Uppsala in november! :D
...oh and my review at WeRock of their new album reached 200 views in just two days or so. I'm really surprised! But it seems people enjoyed it at least and that's great.
