Taumatawhakatangihanga...

Some place names amuses me greatly. This is one of them, haha.
Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu is located in New Zealand and basically means "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one".
Try saying it out loud. Heh. What makes it even more amusing is that it sounds like "Die mother fucker" in the beginning. xD

Another amusing place which is pretty well-known is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch in Wales. Just imagine saying you come from there, haha. (Dw i'n dod o Lanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch)

Interviewed

As I left the university today I noticed something was happening in Uppsala. Appearantly it was time for the shooting of some scenes for the Hollywood version of the famours Steig Larson's Millennium trilogy featuring Daniel Craig among others. As I kept walking I noticed a camera and a man standing by it. Just as I was going to walk past him he stopped me and asked if he could interview me about this whole thing. It was really random!

Watch it here.
For the record, I only said what I thought about the whole thing, that I'm sceptical towards the Hollywood version since I am convinced it can't be much better than the originals with Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist. Hearing Lisbeth Salander speak english...? Nah.
Oh, by the way. I started my welsh class today. We're four people in the class, and I am the only swede. Interesting, hmmh.

Hurr durr.

I can almost see the light in the end of the tunnel... About what? Oh I won't tell until I actually can see it ;P

Anyway. Today I voted in the swedish election! Great to not have to think more about it now. We also went to have a look at an apartment... Things are moving, that's for sure! I'll keep my fingers crossed, but hopefully we'll have somewhere to move into by the beginning of the next month!

Aaaand tomorrow I'm headed for Kulturnatten (transl: The Culture Night) together with Otto and another friend who lives here named Jessica. I'm looking forward to it, maybe I'll get the opportunity to get to know someone else here? That would be great.

Oh yeah and I finished my review of Tarja's album yesterday. Two more to write this month... (yes I'm a bit stressed because of all the other things I'm planning to do/all my studies)

So long!

Cards

Today I had my first lecture! It was really, really interesting! Although I had some huge problems finding the classroom it all went fine in the end. This first course is called "Celtic History and Culture" and ends the 20th of October, which means it's pretty short and I have loads of stuff to study. But it is really interesting!

Anyhow, this wasn't what I was supposed to write about today. I got myself an access card for the university and I suddenly realized how many damn cards I've got in my wallet! Take a look at these pictures:

First batch: A gift voucher for a mall located in my hometown, GAME (the store) bonus card, Kicks Club card (which is basically the place I buy all my makeup and hairspray... ahem.) and a Scandinavian Camping Card.

Second batch:
Three different library cards xD, the access card I got today and my CSN card (student card).

Third batch: Travel cards! The first one is the travel card of Scania, the second one is the Stockholm equivalent and last but not least we have the Oyster card from London. I have yet to get myself a travel card up here since I live in walking distance from the university.
Then, of course, I have my VISA, my ID and soon my driver's license. Pheeew... My wallet is stuffed.
